I believe that life is an adventure.
I am your muse, your teacher, and your travel guide on the nutritional adventure of your life. I’m here to inspire you to embrace real food – even (organic) butter.
Learning how to diet will leave you dieting forever. Learning how to eat will give you healthy habits that last a lifetime.
I want you to learn how to read a label on your own, cook and eat with an understanding of your ingredients and how they’ll affect your body, and know which herbs and spices you can add to enhance your meals and increase their nutritional value. I want you to love vegetables but not fear butter. And most importantly, I want you to be able to hear what your body is telling you and provide it the sort of nutrition it needs – without disappointing your taste buds.
In my 20s, my body started giving me cues that something was wrong. My personal adventure began with me acting as a sort of nutritional sleuth, trying to decode what my stomach was telling me. I spent the better part of 10 years trying every cleanse imaginable (on several continents!), obsessively reading labels, and analyzing everything I ate. I discovered that I had food intolerances, but along the way, I became so focused on my diet that I developed a body image disorder. It took years of trial-and-error and a very talented food shrink to finally allow me to enjoy food – and my own body – again.
I have traveled the world, from France to Thailand, Australia to the Middle East, collecting the inspiration that shapes my unique approach to healthy, vibrant, flavorful food. Today, I enjoy a diverse diet, supplemented by recipes from my travels that I’ve integrated into my daily life. I am sometimes a vegetarian, and sometimes I dabble in the carnivorous world.
I’ve spent years gathering the knowledge of how to create meals that nourish your body and delight your taste buds, and I am ready to share this knowledge with you, whether you’re struggling with food intolerances of your own or looking for the mental and physical benefits of a healthier lifestyle. I am inspired by the global flavors and exotic spices that I experienced in my travels, allowing me to help you dive into an unforgettable world of vibrant colors, vivid flavors, and luscious nutrition.
