What Lora does with a single ingredient is amazing. Give her the entire plant kingdom and you are in for a wild and tasty ride. Veggies for Carnivores is an exciting take on the many wonders that come when you treat vegetables like the hearty, juicy, tender things they are. Try any recipe and your meat-lover will be hooked.
Lora changed my life. Without her I would be on perscription thyroid medication and 75 lbs heavier. She made a few simple dietary suggestions and from her advice, I did not have to go on medication and my extra weight came off effortlessly. I am forever grateful. I would listen to anything she says! Thank you Lora.
As a former professional chef I knew a lot about food but maybe not how to eat and what to eat. Lora took me to my first health food store and we did a “walk-through”. She taught me about ingredients that I knew nothing about. I then started learning about proper food combining as well as juicing. After 3 months of working with Lora I had a check-up with my Doctor who was blown away by the change in all my numbers! My cholesterol went from 185 to 137 as well as my sugar glucose numbers went way down!
Veggies for Carnivores should be in the kitchen of every single guy who likes to cook or is interested in cooking. For some reason vegetables are intimidating to many people, yet Lora presents everything that you need to know in an easy-to-understand manner. Her book is a fantastic resource that I use often.
Lora’s passion for food is contagious. Her book [Veggies for Carnivores] is a practical guide infused with informative, fresh ideas and a treasure-trove of recipes to inspire beginners and seasoned chefs alike.
Lora’s recipes are simple and yummy. She helped me discover new veggies to snack on and mix together. She is an inspiration and her book is fun reading. I am now into a healthy new way of eating and the pounds are falling off.
I’m an unrepentant meat lover and eater. I have, however, cut down for health considerations. Veggies for Carnivores has made that transition virtually seamless—even joyful. Thank you, Ms. Krulak, from the depths of my heart (and the pit of my stomach).
Regardless of the preposterousness (burning my neck with a flat iron) or seriousness (having a shocking allergic reaction to a prescription medication) of the situation, Lora has offered suggestions for natural remedies that were not only easy, but marvelously effective.. She is my first call when my body and I are having a disagreement about something.
I want you to learn how to read a label on your own, cook and eat with an understanding of your ingredients and how they’ll affect your body, and know which herbs and spices you can add to enhance your meals and increase their nutritional value. I want you to love vegetables but not fear butter. And most importantly, I want you to be able to hear what your body is telling you and provide it the sort of nutrition it needs – without disappointing your taste buds.
In my 20s, my body started giving me cues that something was wrong. My personal adventure began with me acting as a sort of nutritional sleuth, trying to decode what my stomach was telling me. I spent the better part of 10 years trying every cleanse imaginable (on several continents!), obsessively reading labels, and analyzing everything I ate. I discovered that I had food intolerances, but along the way, I became so focused on my diet that I developed a body image disorder. It took years of trial-and-error and a very talented food shrink to finally allow me to enjoy food – and my own body – again.
I have traveled the world, from France to Thailand, Australia to the Middle East, collecting the inspiration that shapes my unique approach to healthy, vibrant, flavorful food. Today, I enjoy a diverse diet, supplemented by recipes from my travels that I’ve integrated into my daily life. I am sometimes a vegetarian, and sometimes I dabble in the carnivorous world.
I’ve spent years gathering the knowledge of how to create meals that nourish your body and delight your taste buds, and I am ready to share this knowledge with you, whether you’re struggling with food intolerances of your own or looking for the mental and physical benefits of a healthier lifestyle. I am inspired by the global flavors and exotic spices that I experienced in my travels, allowing me to help you dive into an unforgettable world of vibrant colors, vivid flavors, and luscious nutrition.
